1. What is the Verbal De-escalation to Physical Intervention Module?
This is an 8-week professional development program designed to equip security professionals and frontline workers with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The training covers techniques, lawful physical intervention, and key legislative requirements under the Victorian Crimes Act 1958.
2. How long is the program?
The module runs for 8 weeks with a total of 12 hours of training. Students attend one class per week, choosing from four available time slots.
3. When does the program start?
The next intake commences on Saturday, 13 September 2025.
4. What days and times are classes available?
You can attend one of the following sessions each week:
Saturdays: 14:00–15:30 or 15:30–17:00
Wednesdays: 10:30–12:00 or 12:00–13:30
5. Where is the training held?
All sessions take place at:
Kimekai Dojo, 2/227–239 Wells Rd, Chelsea Heights (VIC).
6. Who delivers the training?
The program is led by JD Rashid (Jon Moorehead), co-director of JBGTA. JD is a former Australian Kung Fu Champion (1995) with over 25 years of security industry experience and 15 years as a Workplace Trainer & Assessor for security licensing.
7. How much does the course cost?
The standard fee is $550. However, the first 30 students to enrol receive a 50% discount – just $275.

9. Do I need to attend every class?
You only need to attend one class per week. You may choose the time slot that suits you best each week.
